I'm Marek

I have successfully delivered solutions to a wide range of clients, from small SaaS startups to top tech companies. The products I've been involved with have experienced user satisfaction increase and user performance improvements, and the mobile apps I've designed have received ratings ranging from 4 to 4.5 on the App Store and Google Play. While most of my experience is in the HR industry, I've also worked on several projects involving complex tech solutions such as Network Engineering and Data Engineering.

My Career so far

I have a proven track record of improving User Experience in various products, including enhancements to usability, information architecture, and user flows. My work has contributed to the improvement of multiple product KPI’s, such as MRR and NPS and helped them to grow in a sustainable way - with minimal churn rate.

I leverage design principles to bring coherence and harmony to the interfaces I design. I am crazy about optimizing user flows and speeding up user task completion times.

tech-savvy individual who can collaborate closely with both front-end and back-end developers to the extent that I can find solutions (e.g., NPM packages) to design challenges. This ability also enables me to discover new ways to obtain insightful data about users through a product's databases.

I am enthusiastic about experimentation and optimization, placing a strong emphasis on a proper design delivery process, which includes implementing efficient design systems, full componentization in design files, and conducting accessibility testing. I have already employed several solutions that empower designers to take on more development tasks, such as Weblate, Webflow, and FlutterFlow.

I like photography too, that's actually me taking a shot in the kitchen with a remote hidden under my arm :) I'm not that serious, jokes & memes - count me in.

Throughout most of my career, I have mostly holding a one-man army role, continually expanding my skill set to provide more value, especially in startup environments. My work with startups has always involved close collaboration with other product departments, including Business Development, Stakeholders, Developers, and Customer Service, where my openness, knowledge, and professionalism were highly appreciated.I possess the ability to share knowledge effectively and to lead and teach.

I have mentored several individuals to become better designers. Additionally, I conducted a three-month-long UX/UI design course for employees of one of Boeing Group's companies, with more than 20 participants, receiving nearly perfect final scores from the attendees.
